I am proud to announce a partnership with History Park in Punta Gorda Florida to make available to you some of Dick Johnson’s cultivars. Richard Polk of Punta Gorda imported a good selection from Dick two years ago. As many of you know importing plants to the United States legally requires two years quarantine. These cultivars have completed the required quarantine and thirty of these plants are now ready for sale, more will follow this spring.

I have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer at History Park for four years and have witnessed first hand the need for additional funds to maintain the large hibiscus gardens we have started. Richard Polk decided to import some of Dick Johnson’s varieties as a fund raiser for the park. All the profits made from the sale of these plants will go to the upkeep of the gardens at History Park.
